Moran Stela Yanai

At 40 years old, Yanai, a jewelry designer known for her deep empathy towards all living beings and her passion for creating art to wear, became one of the many victims of the Hamas terrorist attack on the Nova music festival on October 7. This attack, which resulted in the massacre of around 350 attendees and numerous abductions, highlights the brutal nature of such acts of terrorism.

Yanai's brother-in-law, Dan Mor, describes her as the "softest soul," emphasizing her kindness and sensitivity, particularly towards animals. This detail about her personality paints a vivid picture of Yanai as a person who lived her life with compassion and empathy. Her disappearance and the subsequent horror experienced by her family upon recognizing her in a distressing video posted on TikTok illustrate the profound personal tragedies that unfold in the wake of terrorist acts. She was released on November 29th, after 7 weeks of captivity.
