Judith Raanan

Judith Raanan, 59, and her 17-year-old daughter Natalie are residents of Evanston, a suburb of Chicago. They had travelled to Israel to celebrate her mother's 85th birthday, along with the Jewish holiday. They were abducted from the guest quarters in Kibbutz Nahal Oz by Hamas terrorists on October 7th.

Throughout the two-week captivity under Hamas, Judith and Natalie's reliance on each other was a testament to their strength and mutual support. Their family, speaking to media outlets, emphasized the duo's physical health post-release but hinted at the psychological scars that such an experience inevitably leaves.
