Ohad Munder

Ohad Munder's story is a poignant narrative of resilience and recovery following a harrowing period of captivity in Gaza. Kidnapped along with his mother Keren and grandmother Ruti, Ohad marked his 9th birthday in captivity in Gaza. Ohad's story took a public turn when 1,500 Rubik's Cubes were arranged to portray his face in Tel Aviv's Hostages Square, symbolizing the community's support and solidarity.

Upon his release, Ohad's unique talent as a "cuber" was recognized and celebrated, leading to his appointment as a tester for new versions of Rubik's Cube in honor of the puzzle's 50th anniversary. Ronnen Harary, owner of Rubik's Cube's parent company, presented Ohad with special cubes signed by the puzzle's inventor, Ernő Rubik, and the current world champion.

As Ohad gradually returns to routine activities, including school, the Rubik's Cubes continue to play a therapeutic role in his recovery process. However, the lingering impact of his captivity is underscored by the ongoing wait for his grandfather, Avraham Munder's release from Gaza.
