Roni Petrovski

Age 24

Roni was not confirmed dead for several weeks as he was presumed kidnaped. However, a few weeks later his remains were discovered and subsequently identified. He was buried on October 26 in Holon.

He is survived by his father, Sergey, and brother, Dani, as well as his grandparents. Roni was killed alongside his lifelong best friend, Sagiv Ben-Zvi, whose body was also not found for several weeks. They were buried side by side. Both Roni and Sagiv had recently returned from a trip in South America and enjoyed discovering new places. Roni’s brother, Dani, told Channel 12 news, “When we were little, Roni and I had already lost our mother to cancer. We always relied on each other, supported each other, and helped each other. Even though I was the big brother, I always admired him, the strength he has, his joy of life and his fairness to everyone, to all his friends and the people around him. There was always so much love around him.”

Employed at a medical supply store, Roni also served as a youth soccer coach.
