Ron Shemer

23

From MyHeritage's blog: Ron and Ilay Nahman were esteemed members of MyHeritage's COVID-19 lab in Israel. These two individuals answered the call to join MyHeritage's significant humanitarian initiative, playing vital roles in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. They were held in high regard and affection by everyone acquainted with them. Ron was not only one of the pioneering employees at the MyHeritage Lab; he was its heartbeat and essence throughout his two-year tenure. Those who knew him best would attest that Ron's most cherished trait was his infectious positivity. His magnetic personality and unwavering optimism left a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. Among the countless memories shared by our team, not a single instance is recalled where Ron was anything but upbeat and cheerful. With an exuberant zest for life, he found joy in spreading happiness to those around him. Ron earned the endearing nickname "Jachnun'' from his colleagues due to his deep affection for the traditional Yemenite dish of the same name. During weekends, he would visit his grandmother, indulging in her renowned jachnun, and generously bring extras to share with his friends during his next shift at the lab.
