Raz Mizrahi

22

During "Operation Guardian of the Walls," while stationed on guard duty in Jerusalem, Raz faced a terrorist driving a vehicle head-on. With exceptional courage, she and her comrades swiftly neutralized the threat. Following a year and a half of rigorous rehabilitation, Raz resumed her service and rose to the rank of officer in the Border Guard. In an interview a year ago, she expressed her fulfilled dream of rejoining her platoon mates in the field, stating, "I am a fighter at heart, and I promised myself to return to being a combatant who goes out on operational shifts with my unit." Raz's unwavering love for her country was profound.

Tragically, she was attending the Nova festival when Hamas terrorists attacked on October 7th. Raz was murdered in an outdoor bomb shelter while seeking refuge. She is survived by her parents, Gal and Nirit, and her siblings Noa and Dor. She was buried on October 10 in Gedera.
