Lior Hadad Atias

Age 36

Lior, a nurse at the vet clinic in Rehovot, volunteered for ELEM at the Nova fetival, working as part of ELEM's Good People program to assist distressed youth during the event. There were nine ELEM volunteers at the Nova music festival near Re’im on the morning of October 7. Only six made it out alive.

In a statement, the ELEM organization recalled Atias as someone with “a huge joy for life, who spread light and love to anyone she encountered. She always made sure to be there for everyone — young and old, and always with her characteristic smile… Lior, a good and dear woman, I’m sorry you left us when all you wanted was to do good.”

Lior, 36, married and the mother of a 6-year-old daughter, was declared missing since the massacre in the south. Eight days after the massacre in the south, the police informed her family about the identification of her body. She was murdered while attempting to escape.

Lior studied at Amit School in Rehovot, after which she studied and graduated in veterinary medicine.
