Liel Jarfi

Age 18

Liel was working at the Nova festival entrance with his cousins Shoham and Shenhavl. "When the first barrage started, they sent a message that they were running to a shelter until it ended. Gradually, we began to understand the magnitude of the situation from the reports, and then they were no longer available," recounted Liel’s father.

Liel’s father tried calling him and once he stopped answering, he and other family members rallied and drove towards the festival. They were eventually stopped by a police checkpoint and waited until the news came of his death. Liel, Shoham and Shehav were all found murdered at the scene.

The Herzliya mayor, Moshe Fadlon, eulogized them: "The heart is torn, and the mind refuses to believe. Blow after blow. After a week of agonizing waiting and hope, the bitter news arrived for the family." Liel was intending to serve in the army soon after the festival.
