Ilay Nahman
23

From MyHeritage blog: Ilay and Ron Shemer were esteemed members of MyHeritage's COVID-19 lab in Israel. These two individuals answered the call to join MyHeritage's significant humanitarian initiative, playing vital roles in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. They were held in high regard and affection by everyone acquainted with them. Ilay is fondly remembered as kindhearted, charming, and empathetic. He possessed a rare ability to engage in deep conversations, listening attentively and showing genuine interest in every word spoken. Despite his youth, Ilay's outlook on life appeared remarkably mature; he had a knack for prioritizing what truly mattered and letting go of trivial concerns. Our team cherishes memories of his warm smile and delightful sense of humor. Although his time at the lab was brief, it was evident from the start that he was someone dependable and trustworthy, a person you could always rely on.
Ilay had a passion for surfing and eagerly anticipated the start of university, where he intended to pursue studies in business and entrepreneurship. Just a few weeks shy of his 24th birthday, his life was tragically cut short. Instead of celebrating his birthday, he was laid to rest on October 12th.
