Idan Dor

Idan and Ram Shalom were friends from as young as babies. Tragically they were both massacred while
trying to flee in their car away from Hamas terrorists.

Idan’s mother and sister said the following about him: “Idan's passion was to bring pride, and to protect the family. In addition, his strongest passion was expressed on the soccer field when he was playing. Until the age of 19 Idan played for Hapoel Katmon Jerusalem in the youth team and was a gifted soccer player! What makes me proud of him has always been that he was a good person. Loved for free, always helped the weak, respected his parents, his siblings, and humanity. Modesty, humility, nobility and the desire to always be better, Idan always saw the other and was sensitive to the environment. He spread great light wherever he was. His greatest achievement is everything he managed until the age of 25. Our favorite memory together is Friday dinners. And on Fridays as a rule, Idan was always a family man that put the family first. It was important for Idan to be present at the Friday dinner no matter what.”
