David Turgeman

Age 26

David, known as Dudi, and four of his friends were killed while trying to escape the onslaught at the Nova festival. They managed to get a few miles away, but unfortunately, it was in vain. They encountered a terrorist squad and were all murdered, shot to death. He was buried on October 15th at Moshav Tzohar.

His sister recounted their conversation from early that morning, during which he assured the family of his imminent return home, the family farm near Moshav Sde Nitzan. However, communication ceased thereafter. Nearly a day passed with no sign of him. Concerned family members then embarked on a search to the location where he was last sighted. There, they discovered his lifeless body along with those of his four companions.

His mother, Yonit, described her son on Facebook: “My Dudi loved life, he lived for parties and friends, long weekends of 24/7 parties, he breathed motorcycle trips and nature, he built and assembled projects in the garden and all this he combined with work that he loved so much. My Dudi didn’t waste a minute or even a second of life, he partied for hours and days without sleep, few could keep up with him which is why he had different groups of friends for different activities.”
