Dan Damri

Dan was murdered fleeing the Nova festival alongside his girlfriend, Shir Yaron, and three of his friends as they attempted to escape in a car. As the sirens began with the first incoming missles, they departed the Nova venue unaware that terrorists were on the ground. At an intersection they encountered Hamas gunmen on motorcycles.

Dan was the youngest of six siblings, and two of his brothers were also at the Nova festival. One of Dan's brothers managed to escape from the party area after spending 18 hours in a bomb shelter, and another brother fled through the fields towards his home.

Shoshana Demari, the mother of the late Dan, told about the day that turned into a tragedy: "I received the news only in the evening, I realized that something was not right. My children heard more or less, but did not want to say anything. My children informed me, no one came to inform me that my son was murdered, to console or to ask".

Dan loved animals, including a pet goat named George. He had finished his military service roughly a month prior to the event.
