Tal Shoham
Age 38 when abducted

Tal Shoham, 38, was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7 from Kibbutz Be’eri in Israel.
Tal, his wife Adi and their children Naveh, 8, and Yahel, 3, were visiting Adi's family for the Simchat Torah holiday weekend when the Hamas terrorists attacked. At the time, they were staying with Adi's parents Shoshan and Avshalom Haran, her aunt Sharon Avigdori, and Sharon's daughter Noam, 12. Shoshan Haran's sister and brother-in-law, Eviatar and Lilach Kipnis lived next door, and as the attack began the group sought safety in the bomb shelter of the Kipnis' house. The terrorists had set the house on fire during the attack, forcing them outside. Tal Shoham's father, Gilad Korngold, received information that his son had been seen alive outside at some point on that fateful day.
Following the attack, the body of Eviatar Kipnis's caregiver, Paul Castelvi, was found in the nearby Be’eri forest, raising fears that all 10 family members might have been killed. By October 17, it was confirmed that the remains of Eviatar Kipnis and Avshalom Haran had been identified, and by October 23, Lilach Kipnis was also declared dead. The family later learned that the remaining seven members were being held as hostages in Gaza.
