Shlomo Mansour

Age 85 when abducted

Shlomo Mansour, an 85-year-old Holocaust survivor, was taken captive by Hamas terrorists on October 7 when they invaded his home in Kibbutz Kissufim. On that tragic morning, at least eight residents of Kissufim and six Thai laborers were killed, while four people, including Mansour, were abducted and taken to Gaza. Fortunately, Mansour's wife of 60 years, Mazal, managed to escape.

Shlomo Mansour was born in Iraq but had been living in Kibbutz Kissufim for most of his adult life with his wife Mazal. He played a significant role in the kibbutz, managing the chicken coop for many years. Known for his modesty, big heart, and skillful craftsmanship, he enjoys creating things for his grandchildren.
