Age 40 when abducted

Shlomi Ziv, age 40, was a member of the security detail at the Nova music festival on October 7th., found himself at the Nova music festival on October 7th.
On the morning of the festival, Shlomi had a conversation with his sister, Adi Kikuzshvili, at 7:30 a.m., during which he assured her that everything was fine despite the ongoing turmoil. He recounted the chaos of the moment, with terrorists firing shots and sirens blaring for incoming rockets. Shlomi was among the security ushers at the event and did not carry a gun or ammunition, as his sister clarified in multiple interviews.
Shlomi shared details about the bottleneck of cars trying to leave the festival area, shedding light on the chaotic and terrifying situation that unfolded. His final conversation was with his other sister, Revital, during which he was breathing heavily and simply said, "I'll call you back."
Shlomi is known as a beloved older brother and uncle who was always ready to offer help, known for his warm and smiling demeanor. He and his wife, Miran, had been through seven years of fertility treatments before recently deciding to take a break and focus on each other.
The attack left a deep emotional scar on Shlomi's family, with his sister Adi describing it as a life-long trauma. Shlomi had attended the festival with two companions, Aviv Eliyahu, who was a relative of his wife, and Jake Marlowe, a friend. In the time since, it has been confirmed that both of them lost their lives in the attack.
It took several weeks for Shlomi's wife to receive official confirmation that her husband was considered among the captives in Gaza. The uncertainty and anguish faced by Shlomi's family and loved ones reflect the devastating toll of such attacks, leaving them with hopes for his safe return amid the ongoing conflict.
