Romi Gonen

Age 23 when abducted

Romi Gonen, 23, is one of the victims of the Hamas terrorist attack that occurred during the Nova music festival in the desert on October 7th. She had been attending the event with friends.

Romi was in contact with her mother, Meirav Gonen, throughout the morning of the attack, starting from the early hours when the terrorists first struck the outdoor event. She informed her mother that she had been shot and was bleeding at around 10:15 a.m., expressing concern not just for herself but also for her friends in the car who were also wounded.

Tragically, the situation escalated, and Romi's whereabouts became uncertain as the car she was in was later found abandoned. Her phone was subsequently tracked to Gaza.

Romi is described as a strong and cheerful individual, known for her involvement as a former Scouts counselor and her love of music. Her family is deeply concerned for her well-being and remains hopeful for her safe return.
