Rom Braslavski
Age 19 when abducted

Rom Braslavsky, aged 19, is among the hostages presumed taken captive by Hamas terrorists during the attack on the Nova music festival on October 7th. Rom, a resident of Jerusalem, was working as a security guard at the music festival when the Hamas attack unfolded.
During the chaotic and dangerous situation that ensued, Rom displayed remarkable courage and selflessness. He chose to stay behind to provide aid, offering water, evacuating bodies, and connecting people amidst the terrifying ordeal. Despite the immediate danger, Rom and his friends risked their lives to rescue the injured and assist others.
Rom's last contact with his family occurred around 10:30 a.m. on the fateful day. He reassured his mother that he was safe, located in a situation room, and expected to return home in a few hours.
Reports from survivors of the attack suggest that Rom managed to get two young women to safety but was wounded in both hands during the process. Undeterred by his injuries, he continued his efforts to save more lives. His last known action was at approximately 1:30 p.m., when he was seen helping a young woman escape from a garbage container where she was hiding and guiding her to a safer location.
Following this courageous act, Rom disappeared, with no further sightings reported by anyone at the event. Authorities later notified his family that Rom had been taken hostage by Hamas.
