Ran Gvili

Age 24 when abducted

Ran Gvili, 24, was at the hospital early on October 7th, scheduled for an operation. However, upon learning about the unfolding events in southern Israel, he made a to leave and offer assistance in the crisis.

Gvili's last known communication was at 10:50 a.m. on that day when he messaged his friends on WhatsApp, informing them that he had been shot twice in the leg. He was reportedly in the vicinity of Kibbutz Alumim, near the area where Hamas terrorists launched their attack, resulting in the loss of many lives and the abduction of numerous individuals, including Gvili himself.

Originally hailing from Meitar, a town near Beersheba in southern Israel, Ran Gvili has interests outside of his courageous actions during the crisis. He is passionate about playing the guitar and has a love for motorcycles.
