Omer Shem-Tov

Omer Shem-Tov was at the Nova music festival when Hamas militants attacked in the early hours of October 7th.

Omer's parents, Shelly and Malki Shem-Tov, received phone calls from Omer as the situation escalated. He described the chaos, mentioning that they were under fire and that he witnessed casualties. Omer informed his father that he was trying to escape with friends in a car.

During this time, Omer managed to send his parents his live location. However, the location indicated that the car was heading toward Gaza. Omer's parents attempted to call him, urging him to turn back, but he did not answer.

The agonizing wait led Omer's parents to contact hospitals and search for any information about their son's whereabouts. Eventually, they came upon a Hamas video on Telegram that showed Omer and his friend in Gaza, lying on the floor. Omer remains in captivity.
