Ohad Ben Ami

Ohad Ben Ami, a 55-year-old resident of Kibbutz Be’eri, along with his wife Raz Ben Ami became hostages on October 7th when Hamas militants stormed their home and took them captive.
One of Ohad and Raz’s three daughters, Ela, was present on Kibbutz Be’eri during the attack and fortunately survived. Ohad had been in contact with his daughter Ela via WhatsApp on that fateful morning until the moment he was abducted, which occurred around 10 a.m. The last message he sent, citing the foundational Jewish prayer "Shma Yisrael," indicated the dire situation they were in. Ohad then provided Ela with instructions regarding his will.
A photo of Ohad in a vulnerable state, wearing only a T-shirt and underwear, has emerged on social media, depicting him being pulled by his shirt by a terrorist. A video of Raz also appeared, showing her barefoot and in pajamas, being pulled by her hair by terrorists on the road.
