Nimrod Cohen

Age 19 when abducted

Nimrod Cohen, 19, was stationed at Nahal Oz when it came under attack by Hamas militants early on October 7th. With no communication between Nimrod and his family that morning, his family found a Hamas video of him later that day. Around midnight, they received confirmation from the Israeli army that Nimrod had been abducted to Gaza.

The Cohen family lives in Rehovot, and both Nimrod's twin sister, Romi Cohen, and the family as a whole are actively involved in the local branch of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum. This organization helps organize rallies and gatherings to raise awareness about missing individuals and hostages.

As they await news about Nimrod, Vicki and her husband have attempted to maintain some sense of normalcy by returning to work, hoping that their daily routines will provide some comfort during this challenging period. Vicki remains hopeful, stating in a video for a local paper, "I know he's alive, and that gives me strength."
