Maxim Herkin

Maxim Herkin, a 35-year-old resident of Tirat Hacarmel, was taken captive by Hamas terrorists on October 7 during the attack at the Nova music festival.

Maxim's life revolves around his role as the primary provider for his family, which includes his 3-year-old daughter, mother, and 11-year-old brother. He decided to attend the Supernova outdoor party almost spontaneously, having been invited by friends at the last minute.

As the Hamas attackers invaded the festival, Maxim sent his mother a text message at 7:12 a.m. stating "Mom, I'm OK. I'm slowly making my way home." A few minutes later, he sent another message that simply read, "Mom, I love you."

Maxim is considered "missing" because he has not been officially identified as a hostage in Gaza, nor has his body been located. His friends have taken to social media to express their concern and have initiated a Paybox group to provide financial support to his family during this difficult time.
