Idan Shtivi
Age 28 when abducted

Idan Shtivi is a 28-year-old Israeli who was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists during the Nova music festival. He had volunteered as a photographer for the event and joined the party at 6 a.m. On the morning of October 7th, while at the party, he called his girlfriend to inform her about missiles overhead and his decision to leave the event.
Idan, who lives in Tel Aviv, was in the company of two friends, Lior and Yulia, when they attempted to leave the party by car. However, they were intercepted by terrorists on the road heading north. Idan turned the car around, trying to escape by driving south, but he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.
It's at that point that Idan was last seen; the car was later discovered with bullet holes and bloodstains. Tragically, his two friends who were with him in the car were found murdered. Idan's fate remains unknown.
Described as a nature lover, Idan was a second-year student majoring in Sustainability at Reichman University. He had plans to move into a new apartment with his girlfriend, Stav, and was passionate about environmental causes. Idan aspired to work in the energy sector to combat climate change and had intentions of participating in a volunteer program in Africa focused on helping children.
Idan is remembered as a resourceful, level-headed individual who could thrive in extreme conditions. He cherished activities such as camping, free-diving, and music, and he has a wide circle of friends who admire his reliability and positive influence.
