Hamzah al-Zayadni

Age 22 when abducted

Hamzah Alziadna is a 22-year-old resident of an unrecognized village in the Negev, near the city of Rahat in Israel. He was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists on October 7, along with his father, Yousef Alziadna, and his siblings, Bilal and Aisha. The family had been working at a cowshed near the Israel-Gaza perimeter when they were kidnapped.

Hamzah Alziadna's family is part of the Bedouin community in the southern Negev region of Israel. They are Arabic-speaking Muslims who take pride in their cultural heritage and traditions.

Yousef Alziadna, Hamzah's father, is described as a friendly and well-liked figure within the community. He had been working at the kibbutz's cowshed for 17 years, where he prepared fodder for cows, fed them, and milked them. The family's livelihood depended on his work at the cowshed.

The family learned about their kidnapping through video clips uploaded by the terrorists. These clips showed Bilal and Hamza forced onto the ground with Hamas gunmen standing over them.
