Elkana Bohbot

Elkana Bohbot, a 34-year-old Israeli, was at the Nova music festival when Hamas terrorists attacked in the early morning hours of October 7th.

As sirens blared and news of the attack spread, he communicated with his wife and mother, assuring them that he was assisting in evacuating the wounded and would soon return home. Little did anyone know that this would be the last conversation they would have with him.

Hours later, the Bohbot family received a video from a friend, posted by Hamas on Telegram, showing Elkana tied up on the floor with a bloodied face. His brother Uriel immediately recognized him, crying "Oh my God, they've got my brother."

Elkana is described as someone who cherishes life, enjoys dancing, and values friendships. He was about to open a new ice cream store in Tel Aviv. His wife, Rivka, and their three-year-old son, Reem, anxiously await his return at home, with Reem asking the difficult question "where's Daddy?".
