Chanan Yablonka

Age 42 when abducted

Chanan Yablonka, a 42-year-old father of two from Tel Aviv, was among those presumed to have been taken hostage to Gaza on October 7th during the tragic attack on the Supernova desert rave by Hamas terrorists. This brutal assault resulted in the loss of 364 lives and the abduction of at least 40 people.

Described as a sports and music enthusiast, Chanan had recently dined with his parents on the night of Friday, October 6th, and then ventured out with friends to celebrate another friend's birthday. Their initial plan was to head north, but they changed course at Hadera and decided to attend the outdoor music festival in the Negev.

One of his friends was discovered dead in his car, while another was found in a field. The remaining two friends were located in a hiding place nearby. Chanan is believed to be in captivity.

Despite the challenging circumstances, Chanan Yablonka's family maintains hope that he will return safely. While the Israeli government has offered support to the family during this difficult time, there is currently no concrete evidence regarding Yablonka's situation or whereabouts, leaving his loved ones in a state of uncertainty.
