Bipin Joshi
Age 23 when abducted

Bipin Joshi, a 23-year-old farming student from Nepal, was part of a group of Nepali agricultural science students in Israel as part of an academic program to care for orange and lemon orchards. While they had experienced rocket attacks in the weeks leading up to the tragic events of that day, nothing could prepare them for the massive assault launched by Hamas terrorists early in the morning of October 7th.
As the rockets and gunfire approached, Bipin and his fellow students dispersed to different parts of the kibbutz for safety. Where Bipin sought shelter with others, two of the students were shot dead immediately, and two grenades were thrown into the room. Bipin displayed incredible bravery by grabbing one grenade and throwing it away from his friends. Regrettably, he couldn't reach the second grenade in time, which caused injuries to several people.
Despite the danger, Bipin then tried to rescue the wounded and unconscious victims. He sent messages to his cousin in English, expressing his concern for his family and asking them to be strong in case something happened to him.
Following this, armed terrorists ordered Bipin and three Thai workers to approach the door at gunpoint, capturing the moment on video. This was the last time anyone saw Bipin alive. His cell phone was since found in Gaza.
