Bar Kupershtein

Age 22 when abducted

Bar Kupershtein, a 22-year-old who worked at the Supernova desert rave, went missing during the Hamas terrorist assault on October 7. His family was able to trace his last phone location at 8 a.m., and later discovered Hamas videos and photos showing him tied up on the ground. Instead of fleeing, survivors reported that Kupershtein began caring for those who were shot and injured by terrorists, demonstrating remarkable bravery in the face of danger. He tried to protect others and assist the police, even without ammunition.

Bar Kupershtein's family, from Holon, have expressed their deep distress and worry about his well-being. Kupershtein had taken on significant responsibilities within his family, particularly after his father's catastrophic accident as an EMT himself, which left him unable to walk. He was the eldest of five siblings and had become a caretaker for his family due to his father's disability.
