Alexander Trupanov

Alexander Trupanov, known as Sasha, was abducted by Hamas militants on October 7th along with his mother Lena Trupanov (aged 50), his partner Sapir Cohen (aged 29), and his grandmother Irina Tati (aged 73).
Alexander's father, Vitaly Trupanov, aged 50, tragically lost his life during the same attack.

The family was at home on Kibbutz Nir Oz on the morning of October 7th, celebrating the sabbath together.

The family's ordeal took a devastating turn as Vitaly was originally believed to be held captive, but his body was later located, and he was declared deceased, ultimately being laid to rest several weeks after the Hamas massacre.

On November 29, some relief came for the family when Lena and Irena were freed from captivity in Gaza.
Sapir was released the following day. However, Alexander (often referred to as Sasha) is still being held captive.
